The Game Publishers Association, or
GPA, is a cornerstone of the gaming industry and gamer community. They
provide a massive mailing list for all members, as well as a banner exchange
program, and a newsletter called “Press On!” among various other bonuses and
benefits. The GPA member pool is a collection of talent and resources in the
gaming industry, pulling from board and card games to role-playing,
miniature war games and of course LARP. For more about the Game Publishers
Association, go to

GAMA, the
Game Manufacturers Association, has been supporting the gaming industry for
over 30 years. Their contributions to the community of gamers are immense,
in that they have facilitated communication, social networking, and the
sharing of resources and information among its members since the
Association’s inception. They also provide a more direct and substantial
benefit to those game retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers who join by
providing health insurance and a variety of other benefits including
discounted advertising in GAMA-supported publications and several extremely
useful handbooks and mentoring programs. Recently they have added new
benefits such as access to their industry surveys, bulk mailings through
their distributors and even an advertising design service to help members
put together promotional material for their company. For more
information on GAMA and their membership benefits,
